Candle gazing meditation

There are many types of meditation. All are effective, but this is one
of my favorites because anyone, even a child, can do it. The practice of Tratak steadies the wandering mind and concentrates the attention, leading you to focus with pinpoint accuracy. Wherever the eyes go, the mind follows, so that when you fix your gaze on a single point, the mind too becomes "one pointed." This is a truly wonderful way to invite a sense of calm to your mind and body. By clearing your mind, negative thought patterns must cease at least temporarily and eventually you will remove them permanently!
