Meditation

Reducing stress levels may indeed increase a woman’s’ chances of not only conceiving, but also maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Meditation is a recognized and widely practiced form of reducing stress. Many have found that Mala beads are a wonderful way to assist in the practice of meditation.
Mala beads are traditionally composed of 108 beads. The number 108 is significant in many spiritual traditions; in the yogic tradition, this number symbolizes the heart chakra. Malas are similar to rosary beads in that they enable a person to meditate using a given mantra a specific number of times, like the repetition of prayers, towards a desired purpose. Each bead represents one repetition of the mantra. Mantras are spoken either silently or aloud, and do not denote any particular religion. They can be in a person’s native language or in Sanskrit. There is always one large bead at the end, the 109th, called the Guru bead.
The fertility mala bracelet (pictured above) I have designed has 27 beads, allowing you to count along the bracelet four times to reach 108 repetitions. I will help you to create your own personal mantra to use during this meditation. There are always three sections of nine beads and each section has a specific purpose. The first section of beads is for removing negative energy and emotions; the second section of beads is for balancing hormones; and the third section is for promoting fertility. There are several bead combinations, so that colors will vary. For the Guru bead at the end, I have chosen a moonstone because it promotes balance of the mind and body. This is a very useful piece of jewelry!
